Paper submission guidelines

The Asian PGPR Society solicits papers and poster submissions for the meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam. The technical program is being planned to provide the latest scientific information and technologies of PGPR. There will be two kinds of presentations,Oral and Posters. Oral presentations are limited to 30, and will be selected from the submitted abstracts or by special invitation by the organizing committee. Posters will be limited to 150. Organization committee has decided to publish the conference proceedings as a special issue on line which includes with all the oral and poster presentations as full papers. Hence, participants are required to submit their oral or posters as full-fledged papers not to exceed 10 Pages. Please see the sample copy of the abstract, poster and a full paper and read their instructions prior to preparation and submission. Initially, intended participants are required to submit their Abstracts along with their registration form. Full papers are required on or before March 31st, 2015 so that the Proceedings Book will be ready on line prior to the meeting.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

It is important that you review the conference themes below before submitting the abstract.

Conference Themes
  1. PGPR & other microbials (Rhizobium, fungi, nematodes, Bt’s etc.) use in sustainable agriculture, plantation, biofuel, horticultural, forestry and spices.
  2. PGPR & other microbials as biopesticides, biofertilizers, bioherbicides, bioinsectides, and bionematicides.
  3. PGPR & other microbials in the management of biotic & abiotic constraints.
  4. Mechanisms of PGPR & other microbials and their molecular communication
  5. PGPR & other microbials - formulations, delivery, packaging, shelf-life, efficacy etc.
  6. Translational research on PGPR & other microbials (lab to field success).
  7. Scope for collaborations, exchange of memorandum of understanding (MOU), training and seeking funding agencies.
  8. Commercial success stories of PGPR & other microbials, transfer of technology & regulatory issues – industry and farmers perspective
  9. Plenary session on future of Asian PGPR Society for sustainable agriculture and recommendations.

Guidelines
Abstracts must report results of original researchor other activity of significant merit that relates to PGPR and the related industry.
Abstracts must include the following elements:Introduction and review of literature, Objectives, methods, results, and conclusion/significance of the research to the science of PGPR.
Abstracts must not be simply a review or progress report, but must contain useful and new information. Abstracts must not include references or footnotes.
Abstracts must be in final formwith no grammatical, typographical, or factual errors.
NOTE:No abstract that has been presented or is intended to be presented at another meeting shall be submitted for consideration.

B: Type of presentation (select oral or poster)
Specifying a preference between oral and poster presentation type does not guarantee placement in that area.
Oral presentations will be selected by the Organizing committee based on the merit of the abstracts.
 
C. Oral—
There is a limit of one (1) oral presentation per submitter or presenter.
Oral presentations are allocated 20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for discussion).
Presentation date and time will be announced at a later date.
 
D. Poster—Open to all for submission.
There is no limit on the number of poster presentations that may be submitted.
Poster presenters are required to be present at their poster during certain time frames throughout the meeting (to be announced).
Poster size: A0 (84 x 120 cm)
 
NOTE:Acceptance of oral presentation submissions will be limited to the first 30 so you are encouraged to submit oral presentation abstracts early. No individual may be the presenter of more than one oral presentation. Posters are open to anyone and no limit to the number of poster submissions. Remember to fully edit and proof your abstract before submitting.
  • READ Submission Instructions before submitting abstract.
  • Notification of acceptance will be e-mailed to the Presenter (designated per the abstract submission form).
 
Technical Requirements
Use all normal upper- and lowercase alphanumerical and common punctuation available on your keyboard. Use a common text such as Times New Roman only.
  • Please indicate the theme(s) for which the abstract should be considered.
